PURCHASER Working as part of our Materials Management team, our Purchaser will be integral in assisting the department to provide materials and services at the right times in the correct volumes and at the best price. Our Purchaser will carry out the analysis, negotiating, purchasing and expediting of assigned commodities as well as assists the department with order placement, receiving, expediting and G/L coding. Responsibilities also include compiling, verifying, recording and processing forms and documents, in accordance with established procedures, guidelines and schedules. This role requires: Completion of an Office Administration Diploma or Certificate. Combinations of experience and relevant courses will also be considered . Two to Three years purchasing materials experience. Experience in a steel manufacturing environment is a significant asset. Experience in accounting is beneficial Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs is a requirement. Attention to detail, strong analytical skills, time and priority management are necessary for success. Ability to work in fast-paced, deadline driven environment; adapt to change and work under pressure. Must have good communication and interpersonal skills.
