Provides professional-level category support in a variety of procurement activities. Participates in on-going category and vendor performance management. The position is typically responsible for purchasing activities in a very small agency. Other duties as assigned such as Postage processing, Mail Room responsibilities and main loading dock coverage. This position works to promote and protect the health and safety of the residents of Cobb and Douglas Counties. Essential Functions, include but are not limited to: ·Process and distribute incoming and outgoing mail, including postage metering, tracking, and maintaining accurate postage records. ·Perform daily mail room operations, including sorting, routing, distributing, and preparing mail and packages for delivery throughout the organization. ·Provide primary coverage for the main loading dock, coordinating the receipt, staging, and distribution of deliveries, supplies, equipment, and other materials. Utilizes tools to track and document spend and savings information in accordance with standard format. Minimum Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Associate degree in accounting or business, or a directly related field from an accredited college or university; or Technical diploma in accounting or business and one (1) year job-related experience in a procurement environment; or one (1) year of experience at the lower level Procurement Agent Trainee (FEP019) or Procurement Technician (FET112) or equivalent position. Note: Some positions require Georgia Procurement Manual area specific certification(s). Preferred Job-Related Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Sute. Effective oral and written communication skills. Experience in supporting management. Work Conditions & Physical Demands : General Office Environment. Some positions may require the ability to lift 50 pounds. Remote Work: ***Employees authorized for remote/hybrid work must reside and perform their job duties exclusively within the state of Georgia. Salary Information : $46,632.33 Annually / Pay Grade I *** Current state employees’ salary will be subject to State Personnel Board rule provisions. You may qualify for a higher salary based on your current pay grade and the pay grade of the position.
