Pump Truck Driver

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and safety-conscious Pump Truck Driver to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will operate specialized pump trucks to efficiently manage solid waste and recyclable materials collection across designated routes. Duties Operate various types of pump trucks, including front loader, rear loader, and roll-off trucks, to collect and transport waste and recyclables from residential, commercial, and municipal sites Load and unload waste materials safely and efficiently, ensuring proper handling of hazardous materials in accordance with regulations Follow established routes accurately, adhering to traffic laws, DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations, and state transportation laws Conduct routine inspections of trucks and equipment to identify mechanical issues; perform basic maintenance or report repairs as needed Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, including loads collected, route completion times, and safety checks Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate pickups and address any service concerns promptly Ensure compliance with safety protocols at all times, including proper use of air brake systems and safe lifting techniques during heavy loads Requirements Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for heavy truck operation Proven experience operating front loader trucks, rear loader trucks, roll-off trucks, or similar waste collection vehicles Strong knowledge of traffic laws, DOT regulations, hazardous materials handling, and safety procedures Mechanical aptitude for basic troubleshooting and maintenance of heavy-duty trucks Excellent driving record with defensive driving skills; familiarity with manual transmission vehicles preferred Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work outdoors in varying weather conditions Prior experience in solid waste management or municipal waste collection is highly desirable Outstanding customer service skills with a professional attitude when interacting with clients and team members Join us as a Pump Truck Driver and play a crucial role in delivering efficient waste management services!
