Propane Delivery Driver Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Propane Delivery Driver and become a vital part of ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient delivery of propane to residential, commercial, and industrial customers. In this energetic role, you will operate specialized trucks to transport hazardous materials safely while adhering to all federal and state regulations. Your expertise in logistics, route planning, and manual handling will drive customer satisfaction and uphold our commitment to safety and service excellence. Duties Safely operate propane delivery trucks, including tractor-trailers, tankers, flatbeds, and refrigerated trailers, following all DOT (Department of Transportation) and FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations Plan and execute efficient delivery routes using GPS navigation systems to ensure timely service across over-the-road (OTR) driving routes Load freight onto trucks with precision, managing logistics cargo handling for seamless delivery operations Deliver propane to various customer locations, verifying orders, obtaining signatures, and providing excellent customer service during each interaction Maintain accurate delivery logs, inspection reports, and safety documentation in compliance with hazardous materials regulations Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure truck safety and compliance with DOT regulations Requirements Valid Hazmat, tanker and commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record; experience with manual transmission preferred but not required. Proven experience in commercial truck driving, especially with propane or hazardous materials transportation Knowledge of hazardous materials regulations (Hazmat), dangerous goods handling, and safety protocols Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and route planning for efficient deliveries across diverse routes Ability to manually handle heavy loads safely while adhering to safety standards for truck loading/unloading Experience with refrigerated trailers, tanker trucks, flatbeds, or similar equipment is highly desirable Strong understanding of FMCSA regulations, DOT compliance requirements, and safety procedures for over-the-road trucking Embark on a rewarding career where your driving skills make a difference!
