Propane Delivery Driver
ConfidentialSafely operate a propane bobtail delivery truck in compliance with company, DOT, and Texas safety requirements. Deliver propane to residential, commercial, agricultural, and industrial customers according to assigned routes. Safely connect and disconnect delivery hoses and operate pumps, meters, valves, and other propane delivery equipment. Perform required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report defects or safety concerns. Inspect customer tanks and delivery areas for visible hazards, leaks, damage, or unsafe conditions before making a delivery. Follow proper procedures for filling propane containers and prevent overfilling. Perform required leak checks and other authorized safety procedures within the driver’s Texas RRC certification. Accurately record gallons delivered, meter readings, delivery tickets, customer information, and other required documentation. Properly display placards and maintain required shipping papers and emergency-response information. Follow hazardous-material transportation, parking, loading/unloading, and emergency procedures. Immediately report propane leaks, spills, vehicle accidents, equipment failures, and other safety incidents. Maintain the bobtail, hose, fittings, fire extinguishers, emergency equipment, and delivery equipment in safe operating condition. Provide professional customer service and communicate delivery or safety concerns to customers and supervisors. Follow assigned delivery routes while complying with applicable hours-of-service requirements. Maintain required CDL, endorsements, DOT medical qualification, and Texas Railroad Commission LPG certification. Follow company policies regarding PPE, drug/alcohol testing, defensive driving, and propane safety. Perform other propane-delivery duties that fall within the employee’s training and certification. Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week Work Location: In person
