𝐅𝐢𝐛𝐫𝐞 𝐎𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐬 Project 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐫 (𝐅𝐓𝐓𝐇) – Subcontractor to Rogers – Telecommunication (FTTH Project Engineering) Location: Concord – Brampton – Toronto (North), ON area Base Salary: 90K -110K base benefits 5 days a week on Site Full time permanent Our client is a well-established construction sub-contractor to the telecommunications construction industry and provides in-house design, engineering and installation solutions to the fiber-optics network providers across Canada. They have a newly created job for 𝐅𝐢𝐛𝐫𝐞 𝐎𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐬 Project 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐫 (𝐅𝐓𝐓𝐇). The role is responsible for complete project management – Estimating – Costing -BOM- liaison with Design, Engineering and construction teams for FTTH projects for Bell, Rogers and similar . You will calculate costing and prepare estimates, maintain all the milestones (budgeting / costing / forecasting) liaison with contractors and internal teams to ensure on time completion of the projects for fiber optics network FTTH. Candidates from the telecom construction and installation industry with proven success in Project Management for FTTH projects in Telecom under the Canadian Electrical code compliance, are encouraged to apply. The job is based in the Concord – Brampton – Toronto (North), ON area and will need 5 days in office. Overall responsibility of fiber optics network FTTH projects Create Bill of Materials (BoM), material take-offs and cost estimation (labor, materials, equipment), support procurement planning and material scheduling Create Estimates, Bids & Proposal to win projects from Rogers Bell TELUS and similar Knowledge of carrier build standards , codes for Rogers and others Maintain all the cost and time milestones Ensure all drawings, design, splicing, planning is as per spec and ensure construction deliver on time Continuous improvement of cost control, labour & material waste Ensure permitting requirements / regulatory compliance with municipal, right of way, and similar Ensure compliance under the Canadian Electrical Code, and the carrier build standards Oversee Bill of Materials (BoM), material take-offs and cost estimation (labour, materials, equipment), support procurement planning and material scheduling 𝐅𝐢𝐛𝐫𝐞𝐎𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐬 Project 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐫 (𝐅𝐓𝐓𝐇) will have a minimum of 2-3 years of telecom Project Management experience in FTTH projects for subcontractors providing service to Rogers Bell TELUS; be able to estimate costs ( MUST) , create costings and pricing, runs bids and proposals and measure performance of each project. FTTH construction / installation within the fiber optics and telecommunication industry, minimum of 3-4 years in FTTH industry 2-3 in project management (MUST have). Strong experience under the Canadian Electrical Code, municipalities, permitting, infrastructure compliance for FTTH are all a MUST have for the purposes of compliance and regulatory requirements; bachelor’s degree (preferred in Electrical Engineering / Telecommunications). Familiarity with carrier-specific platforms (Bell, Rogers, TELUS); EIT preferred; Industry certifications such as RCDD (BICSI) and CFOT (FOA) preferred.
