We are currently looking for a: Project Scheduler Brossard, QC Summary: The incumbent works on highly complex products, systems, and tools and must be able to maintain a big-picture view of project execution while mastering the details. The incumbent should also have a good understanding of hydroelectric power plants and the sequence of steps involved in engineering, manufacturing, supply chain management, and assembly. Duties and Responsibilities: Prepare and manage schedules based on the specific project scope and task allocation, using Primavera P6. Perform various tasks related to the development and maintenance of complex schedules in Primavera P6, including: creating the WBS structure, logical links, constraints, resource allocation, progress tracking, earned value reporting, float management, etc. Ensure that all scheduling requirements are understood and followed by the project team. Establish baseline schedules, track progress, and implement corrective actions as needed. Coordinate and ensure alignment among engineering, supply chain, and on-site teams, as well as with external partners and client expectations. Proactively manage and monitor the schedule to ensure the project is completed by the contractual deadline, by tracking and reporting on critical paths, float, and interfaces with other parties on a daily basis. Work proactively with project teams to identify potential delays, assess their impact, and propose effective recovery plans, under the direction of the project manager and the planning manager. Conduct schedule-related risk analyses and provide real-time visibility into the project for management and the client. Produce reports, schedule updates, and earned value analyses. Ensure that key performance indicators and benchmarks (internal and external) are in place to measure performance and promote continuous improvement. Facilitate schedule update meetings with the project team or other departments. Regularly maintain systems to ensure data quality. Engage stakeholders to resolve exception messages, confirm deadlines, and provide status updates. Support project managers with client reports, presentations, and meetings related to scheduling and delivery performance. Mentor and support other planners on the team. Education and Professional Experience: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, economics, or construction management. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.). More than 5 years of planning experience on major construction projects, including at least 5 years on critical, hydroelectric, or similar projects. Proven experience in developing WBS structures, scheduling, schedule analysis, and earned value. Practical proficiency with Primavera P6 and other similar scheduling software. Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills. Experience with SAP or similar MRP/ERP systems. Skills: Ability to solve complex problems using systematic approaches. Excellent oral and written communication skills in French and English, as each person in this role is responsible for a group of clients located in Quebec as well as across various Canadian provinces and/or in the United States.
