CBS² is seeking an energetic, highly motivated, detail-oriented, self-starter to join our team as a Transportation Project Manager. This is a full-time role based out of any of our five locations. CBS² is seeking an experienced Transportation Project Manager to help lead the delivery of transportation-focused projects, with a strong emphasis on WisDOT work, from planning through construction. This role is responsible for overseeing project performance across scope, schedule, budget, and quality while serving as a primary point of contact for clients and agency partners. You’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, provide mentorship to junior staff, and ensure alignment with WisDOT standards and expectations. This is a high-impact role for a leader who values strong client relationships, thoughtful execution, and delivering quality outcomes for the communities we serve. Duties & Responsibilities Lead and manage transportation projects with a focus on WisDOT work from initiation through delivery Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships and clear communication Oversee project scope, schedule, and budget to ensure successful project execution and financial performance Coordinate and guide internal project teams, including designers and technical staff, to deliver high-quality work Review and ensure quality control of plans, specifications, and project documentation Ensure compliance with WisDOT standards, processes, and regulatory requirements Facilitate project meetings, provide updates, and proactively address risks or challenges Mentor and support junior staff, providing guidance on technical work and project execution Collaborate with leadership on project planning, staffing, and resource allocation Utilize tools such as Microsoft Office Suite and Bluebeam to manage documentation and communication Support continuous improvement of project delivery processes and team performance Perform other duties as assigned Required Qualifications Requirements & Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field Professional Engineer (PE) license 8+ years of progressive experience in transportation or roadway project delivery Demonstrated experience managing WisDOT projects and working within WisDOT standards Proven ability to manage project financials, schedules, and client relationships Strong understanding of transportation design processes and project lifecycles Experience leading project teams and mentoring junior staff Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Bluebeam Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills Valid driver’s license and ability to travel occasionally between offices Desired Skills & Experience Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D or related design software Familiarity with additional transportation modeling or design tools Established relationships with WisDOT or local agency clients Experience working on multi-disciplinary or complex infrastructure projects Previous experience supporting or training junior staff on technical tools or design standards Familiarity with Wisconsin municipal or county transportation projects What’s In It For You Supportive and laid-back family culture Benefits – 100% paid premiums for medical, vision and dental Generous PTO – minimum of 4 weeks to start 401k Safe Harbor plan Flexible work schedule Growth opportunities!
