Project Manager, Project Logistics

Manage freight forwarding for EPC and industrial projects from Houston, taking responsibility for shipment execution, customer reporting and transport coordination. The work calls for close control of cargo schedules, supplier activity, shipment records and project costs. This is a logistics delivery role, not a construction project management appointment; the emphasis is keeping international project freight moving to the customer's requirements. Responsibilities Plan and manage project freight across ocean, air and specialized inland transport within the agreed scope. Maintain shipment schedules, cargo tracking reports and delivery milestones against customer requirements. Coordinate carriers, truckers, overseas agents and specialist providers, including breakbulk or out-of-gauge movements where required. Manage transport documentation and coordinate permits, route assessments and specialist technical input. Monitor project costs, supplier invoices, billing and changes to the agreed scope. Lead customer communication, resolve shipment exceptions and coordinate the operational team throughout execution. Your experience Project logistics or project freight forwarding experience, with direct responsibility for customer-facing shipment execution. Working knowledge of multimodal freight and the documentation needed for international project movements. Experience maintaining shipment schedules, cost records and detailed customer reports using Microsoft Excel. The ability to identify delivery risks, manage service providers and communicate clearly when requirements change. This is a freight forwarding appointment, not a construction-site project management role. Project Managers, Project Cargo Specialists and senior Project Coordinators with comparable execution responsibility are relevant to the search.
