Project Manager - Bridges
Capitol Steel CorpEstablished in 1998 in Winnipeg, Capitol Steel Corp. specializes in bridge construction projects. We are currently looking to hire a Project Manager to assist with the management of bridge design-build projects. Key Responsibilities: Participate in the planning and scheduling of bridge construction projects; Communicate effectively with the client, the designer and contractors; Interpret project requirements and develop technical procedures; Implement quality and safety plans, and ensure compliance at site; Coordinate the procurement of critical materials and equipment; Sequence and monitor the work performed at site, and provide technical guidance; Maintain control of documents, drawing revisions, change orders, RFI’s and NCR’s; Prepare progress updates and assist with cost tracking; Conduct site inspections and prepare reports; Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. Required Skills and Experience: Bachelor's degree in engineering; or diploma in engineering technology; or several years experience in the construction industry; Bridge experience and/or structural steel experience would be an asset; Strong work ethic, organization skills and communication skills; Ability to work effectively under pressure, with tight deadlines; Available and willing to work overtime when required.
