Project Manager and Design Associate
EWP InteriorsEWP Interiors is a small residential interior design studio in Belmont, MA, currently looking to thoughtfully grow our team. We are passionate about creating beautiful, highly personalized spaces for our clients and are looking for someone who is excited to contribute to both the creative and organizational sides of a busy design studio. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and genuinely passionate about interior design. We are looking for someone who brings warm, positive energy to the studio, enjoys working collaboratively, and is comfortable jumping between creative design work, project coordination, and the day-to-day tasks that keep projects moving forward. Schedule: Tuesday–Friday, 9:00 AM–4:30 PM (on select occasions - could vary if needed on a job site earlier in the day) Location: In-person at our studio at 90 Leonard Street in Belmont Center, Belmont, MA DESIGN SUPPORT Assist with sourcing furniture, lighting, fabrics, finishes, materials, and imagery for residential design projects. Conduct design research and identify options that align with the overall vision, aesthetic, and budget for each project. Create polished and visually compelling mood boards and client presentations using DesignFiles and Canva. We are happy to train the right candidate on DesignFiles; Canva experience is a plus. Use basic SketchUp skills to assist with floor plans, furniture layouts, and space planning. Assist designers with samples, materials, and other preparation for client presentations and meetings. PROJECT & STUDIO SUPPORT Input and maintain project information and product selections in Studio Designer. Previous experience is a plus, but we are happy to train the right candidate. Procurement and accounting are handled by other members of our team. Assist with client communication during the Implementation phase of our design process, including drafting weekly project updates. Coordinate with our Procurement Coordinator regarding order status, deliveries, and installation timelines. Communicate and coordinate with trades, vendors, and other project partners as needed. Maintain the master studio calendar and help track project schedules, deadlines, and upcoming milestones. Communicate regularly with the owner and design team to help keep projects organized and moving forward. Run occasional local design-related errands, including fabric and sample pickups, client deliveries, showroom visits, and site visits. QUALIFICATIONS Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Self-motivated, dependable, and proactive, with a positive, “can-do” approach. Strong time-management skills and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Educational background and/or practical experience in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field. Previous experience in the interior design industry is preferred. Basic working knowledge of SketchUp, Canva, DesignFiles, and/or Studio Designer is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate. Comfortable working in a small-studio environment where responsibilities can vary from day to day Access to reliable transportation is required.
