Operating from our 20,000-square-foot facility in Calgary, we specialize in high-precision B2B structural steel projects, architectural metalwork, custom elevator modifications, and CSA-certified electrical enclosures. We pride ourselves on our technical expertise—utilizing advanced Fiber Laser, CNC Plasma, and Water-jet cutting—and our ability to take a client’s project from a napkin sketch to a flawless finished product. To support our steady growth, we are looking for a highly skilled Project Manager to lead our custom fabrication projects from concept to final delivery.What You Will Do Project Lifecycle Management: Oversee custom metal fabrication projects from estimation, design review, and material procurement through to shop floor production and delivery. Client & Estimating Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for B2B clients, refining scopes of work, and translating client blueprints into precise production requirements. Scheduling & Resource Planning: Coordinate with the Production Manager and shop estimators to schedule CNC cutting, laser welding, forming, and finishing teams to meet strict deadlines. Quality & Compliance Control: Ensure all engineered drawings, material specifications (stainless steel, aluminum, mild steel), and custom builds comply with CSA and NEMA standards. Cost Tracking: Monitor material costs, labor hours, and production margins to ensure projects stay profitable and within budget. What We Are Looking For Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of proven project management experience specifically within a metal fabrication, machining, or heavy industrial manufacturing environment. Technical Literacy: Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, industrial designs, and detailed AutoCAD or shop drawings. Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of metal fabrication processes (CNC laser/plasma cutting, brake forming, structural steel welding, and sheet metal grading). Certifications: PMP designation or a background in Mechanical Engineering, or a Journeyman Welder/Fabricator ticket is highly desirable but not mandatory. Soft Skills: Outstanding professional communication, problem-solving agility, and the confidence to collaborate directly with both business clients and shop floor personnel. Why Join 3FAB?
