About the Role The Project Controls Specialist supports the planning, monitoring, and delivery of Metercor’s metering and utility installation projects. This role maintains project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and reporting to help project managers manage costs, track progress, and address issues early. Key Responsibilities · Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and performance baselines with project managers. · Track installation progress, labour hours, material costs, subcontractor costs, and productivity against approved plans. · Prepare cost forecasts, cash flow projections, and estimates of remaining work. · Analyze schedule and variances, flag risks, and recommend corrective actions. · Produce regular dashboards and reports covering milestones, spending, productivity, and forecast completion. · Maintain change logs and track the cost and schedule impacts of scope changes. · Coordinate with field operations, procurement, finance, and project teams to verify progress and resolve data discrepancies. · Support progress billing by reconciling completed work, installation records, and contractual requirements. · Maintain accurate project records and support project closeout and lessons learned. Required Qualifications · Diploma or degree in engineering, construction management, business, accounting, or a related field; equivalent experience considered. · PMP certification is considered an asset. · Three or more years of experience in project controls, scheduling, cost analysis, or project coordination. · Experience with utility, metering, construction, or field installation projects is an asset. · Strong Excel skills and experience with project scheduling software, such as Microsoft Project or Primavera P6. · Understanding of project budgeting, forecasting, change control, and progress measurement. · Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. · Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively with office and field teams.
