In this vital role you will lead the Planning and Scheduling function supporting Amgen's capital project portfolio. This role provides organizational leadership for a team of planners and schedulers while establishing standardized planning processes, portfolio governance, and scheduling best practices across multiple capital programs. The leader partners with Project Management, Engineering, Construction, Procurement, CQV, Finance, Manufacturing, Site Operations, and Regulatory organizations to ensure projects are planned, executed, and reported consistently throughout the project lifecycle. In addition to maintaining technical excellence in project scheduling, the leader is responsible for developing talent, managing organizational resources, driving standardization and continuous improvement initiatives, implementing digital planning solutions, and providing portfolio-level analytics that support executive decision making. Lead the Planning and Scheduling organization and portfolio. Supporting Amgen's capital project portfolio, ensuring standardized planning practices, portfolio governance, and successful execution across multiple concurrent capital projects. Executive and network reporting performance dashboards within capital project portfolio. Support the development of integrative master schedules from planning to operational readiness through licensure. Establish staffing strategies and optimize resource allocation across multiple projects. Champion digital planning solutions including Primavera P6, Planisware, AI-enabled planning tools, and reporting platforms. Partner closely with Project Managers and Project Controls teams to support successful project delivery. Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders across all organizational levels. Develop standard methodology for earned value management and risk management. Work closely with various disciplines in project teams to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the schedules. Manage the Planning and Scheduling organization supporting the capital portfolio. Lead planning governance across all assigned projects. Mentor planners and project controls professionals. Manage contractor scheduling requirements and performance. Coordinate with all organizational subject matter experts to ensure accurate reporting. Collate project-level schedule reporting to produce program-level schedule reporting.
