Others require quick thinking, confident communication, and the ability to manage several urgent situations at once. As a Security Dispatcher at ProHealth Care, you'll experience both. You'll serve as a central communication hub for our Security and Facilities teams, helping coordinate everything from routine building access requests to emergency security responses across our healthcare system. It's a unique combination of administrative responsibilities, technology, customer service, and fast-paced emergency communications. If you enjoy variety, are comfortable working independently, and can shift gears quickly when priorities change, this could be a great opportunity for you. What you'll do Coordinate security responses: Answer incoming calls, monitor radio traffic, and dispatch security officers to incidents, patient escorts, disruptive situations, and other requests for assistance. Monitor safety systems: Keep an eye on security cameras, building alarms, panic buttons, and employee safety alerts, recognizing when immediate action is needed. Support emergency communications: Help coordinate responses involving hospital security, clinical teams, facilities personnel, and outside emergency responders. Manage daily administrative operations: Issue employee ID badges, troubleshoot building access, maintain lost-and-found and patient property records, and process documentation. Keep accurate records: Maintain dispatch logs, incident reports, electronic records, and spreadsheets using multiple computer systems. Prioritize competing needs: Move between routine administrative tasks and time-sensitive situations, sometimes managing several calls, alarms, and radio communications simultaneously. What you'll need High school diploma or equivalent. Strong computer skills and comfort navigating multiple programs and systems at once. Clear, confident communication skills, including the ability to provide direction over a radio. Excellent multitasking, organization, and attention to detail. Sound judgment and the ability to stay composed and take action during stressful situations. One year of related experience preferred. Experience in emergency dispatch, hospital switchboard, security operations, public safety, or another fast-paced coordination role is helpful. What makes someone successful here? You don't have to come from a traditional security or law enforcement background. Some of our most transferable skills come from healthcare coordination, emergency communications, switchboard operations, and other roles where staying organized and responding quickly are essential.
