Program Master Scheduler (Design-Build High-Rise)
Front Line ConsultingFront Line Consulting LLC is seeking a Program Master Scheduler for a high-rise design-build construction program in New York City. This is an immediate need. Responsibilities As the Program Master Scheduler, you are expected to demonstrate exceptional communication, leadership, and team-building skills. This role requires the ability to work independently and collaboratively, with full transparency and in alignment with Client and Program requirements. You will be responsible for managing the scheduling team and supporting the review, analysis, and reporting of construction schedules submitted by the Design-Builders. One of the main priorities of this role is to ensure the Program Master Schedule is developed, maintained, and aligned across the entire program. This position will report to the Program Manager and work closely with the Program Deputies, Program Controls Manager, and facility Senior Project Managers. Position duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Manage the Scheduling Team, providing guidance and support while assisting with reviews of cost-loaded and resource-loaded schedules. Develop, update, and maintain the Program Master Schedule. Collaborate across multiple projects, with a strong awareness of on-site high-rise construction activities to ensure accurate and timely updates to the Program Master Schedule. Prepare monthly schedule narrative reports, including analysis of monthly findings, identification of schedule impacts, and recommendations for corrective action plans to mitigate or avoid cost and/or schedule overruns. Monitor, review, and report the Program Master Schedule status to the Client and Executive Management Team. Prepare, explain, and present scheduling findings in meetings with the Client, A/E representatives, and other stakeholders. Develop “what-if” scenarios, mitigation schedules, and look-ahead schedules. Perform Time Impact Analyses (TIA), utilizing demonstrated expertise in TIA methodologies. Identify schedule risks, opportunities, and corrective actions to proactively mitigate potential project delays. Review change orders and validate schedule impacts. Perform estimation reviews to confirm assumptions and constructability. Participate in modification request analysis by developing impact narratives, identifying dependencies, and supporting timely approvals. Preferred Skills Experience in institutional and/or high-rise building construction. Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, and Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience in both project- and program-level collaboration and reporting. Experience with design and construction schedules utilizing Critical Path Method (CPM). Relevant construction scheduling experience in planning, scheduling, expediting, maintaining, and reporting the progress/status of work. Reliable, proven, and verifiable record of career stability and scheduling success. Understanding of construction means and methods. Strong communication and relationship-building skills. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS) in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field. 12–15 years of experience in planning and scheduling, project controls, and/or program controls. Experience on multiple sides of the business (i.e., Consultant, Owner, Owner Representative, Architect, Contractor, Engineer). Experience in vertical construction, including high-rise buildings. Experience with Value Management and reporting. Experience in claims defense and prevention, including Time Impact Analysis (TIA). Field experience preferred.
