Production Worker / Crating Specialist

About the Role Craters & Freighters is looking for a dependable, hardworking Production Worker / Crating Specialist to join our team. In this role, you’ll help build custom wooden crates and pallets, package products for shipment, and ensure items are protected for transport. This is a hands-on position in a fast-paced shop environment. Woodworking or shop experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate. Responsibilities Build custom crates and pallets using wood and light machinery Operate tools such as miter saws, panel saws, and pneumatic nail guns Wrap and prepare products for shipment Work independently and as part of a team Keep work areas clean and organized Follow all safety procedures and maintain a safe shop environment Requirements Reliable transportation and strong attendance Ability to lift 75 lbs unassisted Ability to accurately read a tape measure Strong work ethic and self-motivation Comfortable using tools and working with machinery Team-oriented attitude What a Typical Day Looks Like We start each day at 7:30 AM with a team meeting to review the workload, upcoming jobs, and any deliveries or onsite projects. From there, team members jump into assigned jobs or assist others as needed. Breaks include two 15-minute breaks (9:30 AM and 2:30 PM) and a 30-minute lunch (staggered between 12:00 PM and 12:30 PM). At 3:45 PM , the team begins cleanup and tool organization before clocking out at 4:00 PM . Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour Application Question(s): Can lift 75 lbs unassisted.
