Production & Warehouse Technician Full-Time Preferred | Part-Time Considered for the Right Candidate Blowfish Smoke Test Solutions is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Production & Warehouse Technician to assist with the assembly, testing, packaging, and shipment of our smoke testing equipment. This is a hands-on position focused primarily on product assembly, with additional responsibilities involving order fulfillment, shipping, and general warehouse operations. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, enjoys working with their hands, has a positive attitude, and takes pride in doing quality work. Quality is our highest priority. Our equipment must be assembled correctly and function reliably every time. As the employee gains experience, they will be trained to perform increasingly technical assembly procedures, including electrical wiring, component installation, and final product testing. No prior manufacturing experience is required. We are looking for someone who is eager to learn, dependable, and committed to doing things correctly. Primary Duties & Responsibilities Product Assembly & Quality Control (Primary Responsibility) Perform mechanical assembly using hand and power tools, including drills, sanders and riveters. Assemble sheet metal components using rivets, fasteners, adhesives, and other materials. Apply product decals and finishing materials. Learn increasingly technical procedures, including electrical wiring, terminal crimping, and component installation. Inspect components and completed assemblies for defects, damage, and proper workmanship. Perform product testing and final quality inspections as trained. Follow established assembly procedures and maintain consistent quality standards. Order Fulfillment & Shipping Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment. Verify product quantities and order accuracy. Package equipment carefully to prevent shipping damage. Prepare shipping labels and assist with outgoing shipments. Warehouse & General Shop Responsibilities Receive deliveries, organize inventory, and stock components and supplies. Maintain clean, organized workbenches and production areas. Perform routine housekeeping, including sweeping and trash removal. Assist with other production and warehouse tasks as needed. Qualifications & Desired Attributes Exceptional attention to detail: Able to perform precise, repetitive assembly tasks accurately and consistently. Mechanical aptitude: Comfortable using tools and working with mechanical components. Positive attitude: Brings enthusiasm, a good work ethic, and a cooperative, team-oriented approach. Quality-focused mindset: Takes pride in workmanship and understands the importance of getting every detail right. Dependability: Arrives on time, follows instructions, and works productively. Willingness to learn: Interested in developing new technical skills and taking on additional responsibilities. Good judgment: Recognizes problems, asks questions when unsure, and avoids taking shortcuts. Previous manufacturing, mechanical, or electrical assembly experience is helpful but not required. Training will be provided. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and work at a production bench for most of the workday. Good manual dexterity and hand strength for repetitive assembly operations, including gripping tools, fastening components, and making mechanical connections. Ability to safely operate hand and power tools. Ability to perform routine physical activities associated with manufacturing, packaging, and warehouse work. Position Expectations This position will initially focus on basic assembly, component preparation, and order fulfillment. As skills and proficiency develop, the employee will take on increasingly technical assembly, electrical, and quality-control responsibilities.
