Department Production Reports: To Production Manager FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Employment Employment Type: Full-Time Position Summary The Production Tech I is responsible for supporting the production and installation process through inventory management, memorial preparation, quality inspection, delivery support, and general production duties. This position helps ensure that products are completed accurately, safely, and on schedule while meeting company quality standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Operate assigned production tools, machinery, and equipment according to established procedures. Review work orders, layouts, specifications, and production instructions before beginning work. Assist with preparing, processing, finishing, cleaning, and inspecting products. Monitor work for accuracy, quality, and compliance with customer specifications. Identify and report product defects, equipment problems, or safety concerns. Complete required production records and documentation accurately. Safely move materials and finished products between production areas. Load, unload, stage, and organize materials as needed. Perform routine cleaning and basic preventive maintenance on equipment. Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area. Use required personal protective equipment and follow all company safety procedures. Communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers regarding production priorities. Assist other employees and departments as needed to meet production schedules. Participate in safety meetings, training, and continuous-improvement activities. Additional Responsibilities Perform other work-related duties and special projects as assigned. Participate in cross-training for other production functions. Support company quality, safety, attendance, and productivity expectations. Minimum Qualifications Education High school diploma or GED preferred. Experience Previous experience in production, manufacturing, construction, fabrication, warehouse operations, or a related field is preferred. Entry-level candidates with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn will be considered. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Ability to organize and complete assigned production tasks efficiently. Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn equipment operations. Ability to identify production or equipment problems and notify the appropriate supervisor. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Dependable attendance and punctuality. Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining accuracy. Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and production equipment. Valid driver’s license if operating company vehicles is required. Equivalent combinations of training and experience will be considered. Physical Demands The employee must be able to: Stand and walk for extended periods during the workday. Regularly bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, push, pull, and twist. Use hands and arms to handle tools, equipment, controls, and materials. Frequently lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds. Move heavier materials with assistance or approved lifting equipment. Perform repetitive production and finishing motions.
