Summary We are seeking a leader to supervise the performance of and provide mentoring to our Granulation Operations Team. This is a vital role based in our Americus, GA granulation facility. Responsibilities Provide leadership, supervision and planning to the Granulation Operations Team to achieve all plant operating objectives Operate a shift in a manner as to comply with Plant KPI focus of Safety, Reliability, Cost Control and Growth. Supervise operations on routine maintenance of equipment. Monitor plant activities and trends, including production costs, productivity and efficiency Verifying bag load contents to ensure accuracy and integrity before shipment. Work closely with maintenance Departments to utilize available equipment and material, safely and efficiently in order to meet daily production goals Ensuring that equipment is operating safely and efficiently by conducting inspections, performing minor maintenance and cleaning on a daily basis. Oversee quality control, including establishing standards and maintaining records for efficiency and quality achievement as well as continuous improvement Assist in short and long range planning of operational activities Optimize and coordinate work during plant outages. Recommends equipment changes and revisions to production methods for the reduction of cost, improvement of quality or control of loss. Qualifications HS Diploma 3+ years of Supervisory Experience in a Manufacturing, Shipping or Warehouse Environment. Proven experience leading and motivating a team effectively. Previous experience operating front end loader and forklift to load trucks. Previous experience operating bagging equipment is a plus. Strong knowledge of inventory management, logistics, and warehouse management systems such as AS400. Mechanical knowledge is a plus. Experience with 3PL providers is desirable. Familiarity with OSHA standards. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Ability to work overtime when needed, this may be at night or on weekends.
