Production Shipping Coordinator
24 Seven TalentOur client is seeking an organized and proactive Production Shipping Coordinator to support daily production, fulfillment, and logistics operations for a growing accessories business. This hands-on role is ideal for detail-oriented professionals who can keep orders moving accurately, communicate effectively across teams, and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Position Details Location: Downtown Los Angeles, CA Employment Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire Compensation: $25/hour Schedule: Monday–Friday, 40 hours per week Work Arrangement: Fully onsite; this is an in-person role. What You’ll Do Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, including carrier scheduling, routing, tracking, and delivery follow-up. Prepare, review, and maintain shipping and receiving documents, including invoices, packing slips, bills of lading, advance ship notices, and EDI-related paperwork. Work with freight carriers, distribution centers, and customers to confirm shipping requirements and resolve delivery issues. Monitor inventory activity and maintain accurate records by style, order, shipment, and customer requirement. Support production order follow-up, status updates, and communication between warehouse, production, and customer service teams. Create and manage price tickets while helping maintain accurate product and order information. Identify potential retailer compliance concerns, help prevent chargebacks, and assist with discrepancy resolution. Partner with Accounting to research billing variances, freight issues, deductions, and chargebacks. Assist with basic quality-control checks, including review of materials, construction, hardware, labeling, and packing requirements. Provide administrative and clerical support for warehouse, production, shipping, and receiving functions. Respond to emails and phone inquiries promptly, professionally, and with clear follow-through. Take on additional production, shipping, receiving, and logistics responsibilities as business needs evolve. What You’ll Bring 2+ years of experience in shipping, logistics, production coordination, order fulfillment, or a related operational role. Experience working with major retailer shipping requirements is strongly preferred. Working knowledge of UPS, FedEx, freight coordination, and shipment tracking processes. Familiarity with ASNs, EDI, retailer compliance standards, and shipping documentation. Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting and operational systems is a plus. Strong attention to detail, organization, and documentation accuracy. Clear communication skills and a dependable, solutions-oriented follow-through style. Ability to prioritize competing deadlines and remain calm in a high-volume environment. Practical problem-solving skills with an awareness of cost, service, and customer requirements. A respectful, collaborative, and team-focused approach.
