Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Production Scheduler to join our operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining production schedules for our stretch film extrusion operation while coordinating closely with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Warehouse, Purchasing, and Customer Service. The Production Scheduler will ensure that production orders are scheduled efficiently based on customer requirements, machine capacity, raw material availability, production priorities, and shipping requirements. This position requires someone with hands-on experience using the Ignition industrial software platform , preferably in a manufacturing or production environment. The ideal candidate understands manufacturing processes, can work effectively under changing priorities, and has strong attention to detail. Key Responsibilities: Develop daily and weekly production schedules for stretch film extrusion lines. Schedule production based on: Customer orders and required ship dates Machine capacity and availability Product specifications and film structures Raw material availability Changeover requirements Production efficiencies Labour availability Maintenance requirements Use Ignition to monitor production information, machine status, production data, and operational performance Enter, update, and maintain production information within the company's production systems Monitor actual production versus scheduled production and make adjustments as required Coordinate production priorities with Production Supervisors and Operators Work closely with the Warehouse and Shipping departments to ensure finished goods are available when required Coordinate with Purchasing regarding raw material availability and potential shortages Work with Quality Control to ensure products requiring special specifications or approvals are properly scheduled Identify potential production delays and communicate issues to management and affected departments Minimize unnecessary machine downtime and excessive changeovers through effective scheduling Track production orders, quantities, completion status, and outstanding requirements Assist with inventory planning and finished-goods requirements. Maintain accurate production records and scheduling reports Participate in production meetings and provide updates on schedule performance Help identify opportunities to improve production efficiency, scheduling accuracy, and machine utilization Qualifications and Requirements: Practical experience using Ignition software …
