Production Scheduler/Buyer
YamadaProduction Scheduler/Buyer Location: South Charleston, OH, 45368 Job Summary This position is responsible for assisting the Master Production Scheduler in ensuring all lines are properly scheduled and communicated to, so that there are no issues with customer requirements or requests. Essential Functions Assists Master Production Scheduler in all assigned Job Duties. Fills in during the absence of the Master Production Scheduler. Completes Monthly Work Orders for Production. Completes YSS and YEJ Orders from Sales. Create and release weekly Line Schedules and Work Orders. Weekly Percent Achieved against the Schedule. Create Recovery Schedules based on Backorders and Customer request. Completes monthly domestic orders based on EDI Orders. Follow-up on domestic order deliveries. Performs other duties as assigned. Other Functions Interacts with co-workers, customers, outside vendors, and government officials. Maintains a clean working environment. Continuously seeks to improve processes and procedures. Promotes a safe working environment for all Associates. Requirements Education Degree in business, logistics or related field preferred. Experience Position requires three to five years of production planning and scheduling experience preferably in an automotive manufacturing facility, familiarity with PDCA, 5-S, and root cause analysis activities. Skills Position requires excellent interpersonal skills, computer software knowledge especially advanced skills in Microsoft Excel. Working Conditions The position requires the ability to work in a climate-controlled office, walk on concrete floors, lift up to 30 pounds, perform repetitive keystrokes on a continual basis, and occasionally bend, kneel, twist, and reach. Travel This position requires occasional travel. A valid driver's license is required for use of the company car.
