Omni Control TechnologyPosition Summary Omni Control Technology is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Production Scheduler to develop and maintain production schedules that support customer delivery requirements while maximizing manufacturing efficiency. The Production Scheduler serves as a critical link between Sales, Engineering, Purchasing, Manufacturing, and Shipping to ensure materials, labor, and production capacity are aligned to meet customer expectations. The ideal candidate will have experience in a contract manufacturing environment, strong ERP/MRP system knowledge, and the ability to effectively manage priorities in a fast-paced, custom-build operation. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Develop, maintain, and communicate production schedules based on customer demand, material availability, labor capacity, and manufacturing priorities. Coordinate with Purchasing to ensure materials are available to support production schedules. Monitor work order status and adjust schedules as required to address changing customer requirements or production constraints. Work closely with Production Supervisors to balance workloads and optimize manufacturing resources. Review and prioritize customer orders to meet on-time delivery objectives. Analyze production capacity and identify potential bottlenecks. Generate and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly production reports. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), including schedule attainment, on-time delivery, and production throughput. Collaborate with Engineering regarding engineering change orders (ECOs) and their impact on production schedules. Participate in production meetings and provide schedule updates and recommendations. Maintain accurate data within the ERP/MRP system. Support inventory management initiatives and work with Purchasing to minimize shortages and excess inventory. Identify opportunities to improve scheduling processes, production flow, and operational efficiency. Assist with continuous improvement initiatives throughout the manufacturing operation. Qualifications Required Associate degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience. Minimum 3 years of production scheduling, planning, manufacturing, or supply chain experience. Experience utilizing ERP/MRP systems. Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications. Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Preferred Bachelor's degree in related field. Experience in contract manufacturing, electrical control panels, industrial equipment, or custom manufacturing environments. APICS/ASCM certification or related supply chain certification. Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Understanding of production planning and scheduling methodologies. Ability to analyze capacity and resource utilization. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work collaboratively across departments. Experience interpreting bills of material (BOMs), routings, and work orders. Ability to make informed decisions under changing production conditions.
