The Production Scheduler is responsible for coordinating and maintaining accurate production schedules to ensure efficient manufacturing operations and on-time delivery of customer orders. This role works closely with supply chain, program management, and production supervisors to develop and manage the master production schedule, establish the sequence and timing of operations, and adjust schedules as needed based on material availability and production priorities. The Production Planner helps ensure production deadlines are met while maintaining alignment with customer requirements and company objectives. Job Responsibilities Translate customer orders and sales forecasts into sequential production schedules. Plan production schedules for each department based on work order routing and operational capacity. Collaborate with Program Management to ensure production schedules align with program requirements and delivery commitments. Work with department supervisors to plan and adjust weekly build schedules based on production needs and resource availability. Coordinate with Supply Chain to adjust schedules based on material availability and expected delivery dates. Release work orders to Supply Chain to ensure materials are pulled and staged in the correct production sequence. Close work orders associated with completed sales orders to support shipment and invoicing. Monitor production progress and communicate schedule changes or risks to relevant teams. Qualification Requirements Associate degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations, or a related field. 2–5 years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or a similar role. Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. Due to federal contract requirements, candidates must be U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, or protected individuals as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3). Skill Requirements Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong attention to detail. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Accurate completion of documentation and production records. Physical Requirements Must have the ability to lift and/or carry 45 lbs. Ability to work for extended periods at computer workstation/keyboard. Ability to type accurately and efficiently. The position will require walking, standing, squatting, crouching, stooping, lifting, climbing, pulling, pushing, sitting, repetitive motion and kneeling.
