Production Planning Supervisor
Gotion Inc.Pack Production Planning Supervisor Department: Production Planning / Operations Location: Manteno, Illinois, USA Employment Type: Full-time Job Summary The Pack Production Planning Supervisor is responsible for developing, coordinating, executing, and monitoring Pack production plans based on annual business objectives, customer orders, demand forecasts, inventory targets, production capacity, and customer delivery requirements. This position will lead the Pack production planning team and work closely with Production, Supply Chain, Procurement, Warehouse, Quality, Process Engineering, Equipment Engineering, Logistics, Sales, and Project Management to ensure production readiness, effective resource utilization, stable production execution, and on-time customer delivery. Key Responsibilities 1. Annual and Long-Term Production Planning • Assist in developing the annual Pack production plan based on annual sales forecasts, customer orders, production capacity, inventory targets, and customer delivery requirements. • Support annual production capacity planning and analyze requirements for production lines, equipment, manpower, and shifts. • Support the breakdown of annual production targets into quarterly and monthly production objectives and drive plan execution. • Adjust medium- and long-term production plans based on changes in market demand, customer orders, capacity, and business priorities. 2. Production Planning and Scheduling • Develop daily, weekly, and monthly Pack production plans based on customer orders, demand forecasts, inventory levels, production capacity, and delivery requirements. • Develop and maintain detailed production schedules for Pack production lines. • Balance production capacity, manpower, equipment, material availability, and customer priorities. • Monitor production plan execution and identify deviations, bottlenecks, and delivery risks. • Adjust production plans and develop recovery actions in response to material shortages, equipment downtime, quality issues, engineering changes, and customer demand changes. 3. Material and Production Readiness • Coordinate with Supply Chain, Procurement, Warehouse, and Production to ensure required materials are available according to the production plan. • Monitor BOM requirements, inventory, inbound materials, and critical material shortages. • Establish and maintain material readiness checks prior to production release. • Identify potential material shortages in advance and drive cross-functional actions to mitigate risks. • Coordinate the resolution of discrepancies between BOM requirements, inventory records, and actual material consumption. 4. Capacity and Resource Planning • Analyze Pack production capacity and develop capacity plans based on customer demand and order requirements. • Coordinate manpower, equipment, tooling, shifts, and production line resources. • Identify capacity constraints and provide recommendations regarding overtime, additional shifts, equipment investment, or production allocation. • Support production planning for new product introduction, pilot production, and production ramp-up. 5. Production Execution and Delivery Management • Monitor daily production output against the approved production plan. • Track production progress, WIP, and finished goods inventory. • Coordinate with Warehouse and Logistics to ensure finished products are ready for shipment according to customer requirements. • Escalate significant production and delivery risks in a timely manner. • Drive production plan achievement and on-time customer delivery. 6. Cross-Functional Coordination • Work closely with Production, Warehouse, Quality, Process Engineering, Equipment Engineering, Supply Chain, Procurement, Logistics, Sales, and Project Management. • Organize production planning meetings and follow up on action items. • Drive cross-functional resolution of production and delivery issues. • Ensure production priorities and customer requirements are clearly comm…
