Production Planner/Scheduler
Position Type: Full-time, permanent, in office.
Hours: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-5:00 PM
Location: Hamilton, ON
Salary Range: $55,00-$60,000 per year (based on experience) + Benefits

As they continue to grow, they’re looking to add a Production Planner/Scheduler to their team- someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys bringing structure, efficiency, and clarity to production operations. This is a key role that sits at the center of the operation, ensuring production runs smoothly, materials are aligned, and customer commitments are met.
The Opportunity
As the Planner Scheduler, you will be responsible for developing and managing production schedules that drive efficiency and on-time delivery. You’ll work cross-functionally with production, supply chain, engineering, and quality to ensure everything is in place to meet demand.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, working with data, and being closely connected to the shop floor.
Key Responsibilities
Production Planning & Scheduling
- Develop and maintain production schedules
- Create both short-term and long-term schedules using ERP/MRP systems
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Coordinate with different departments
- Work with procurement, supply chain, engineering, and quality assurance to ensure materials, resources, and information are available when needed
Inventory & Materials
- Manage inventory levels
- Balance inventory to meet demand while minimizing excess stock and associated costs
Production Monitoring
- Monitor production progress
- Track production against schedules, identify bottlenecks, and implement adjustments to stay on track
Data & Process Improvement
- Analyze production data
- Use data to identify opportunities for improvement in production processes, efficiency, and cost reduction
Delivery
- Ensure timely delivery of products
- Work to meet customer deadlines and internal goals
Communication
- Communicate and collaborate effectively
- Maintain strong communication with production teams, management, and external suppliers
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Essential for identifying and resolving production issues and optimizing processes
- Excellent organizational and time management skills - Needed to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
- Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and production planning software - Crucial for managing schedules and data
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes- Important for understanding specific production workflows within the facility
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills - Needed for effective collaboration with various teams and stakeholders
- Attention to detail- Critical for ensuring accuracy in schedules and data
- Ideal to have a college diploma / University degree
