Production Planner / Scheduler Location: Sandy Run / Swansea Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts Employment Type: Full-time, fixed-term Pay : $77,000/yr, starting We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented Production Planner / Scheduler to support a busy food manufacturing operation. This position coordinates production schedules, inventory, and material availability to meet customer demand while keeping operations efficient. Key Responsibilities Create, maintain, and communicate production schedules, including a rolling two-week production plan. Monitor inventory levels and ensure materials and products are available in the correct locations. Analyze demand forecasts, production capacity, and inventory data to identify shortages and prevent disruptions. Coordinate with procurement to forecast raw material needs and support replenishment. Maintain accurate item records and planning information in ERP/MRP systems. Process intercompany orders, stock availability requests, and order changes. Work with production, warehouse, quality, customer service, and other departments to support daily operations and new product launches. Coordinate inventory movements and support import/export documentation and compliance requirements. Identify opportunities to improve planning processes, reduce aged inventory, and control costs. Qualifications An associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, or a related field is preferred. An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered. Two to five years of experience in production planning, scheduling, inventory management, supply chain, or manufacturing logistics is preferred. Experience with ERP/MRP systems such as JDE, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar platforms. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis, reporting, and forecasting. Knowledge of production scheduling, inventory control, material requirements planning, and manufacturing operations. Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage changing priorities, maintain accurate records, and collaborate across departments. Work Environment This role involves working in both an office and an active manufacturing facility. Duties include extensive computer use, walking through production and warehouse areas, occasional standing and stair climbing, and occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.
