This contract position offers the opportunity to take ownership of planning workflows, equipment intake, and CMMS data integrity for a busy Odessa-based site.

About the Role:

In this role, you will be responsible for planning and scheduling maintenance activities for a designated location, ensuring resources, materials, and timelines are aligned to operational needs. You will manage priorities in a dynamic environment, coordinate equipment receiving and repair workflows, and oversee CMMS clerks to maintain accurate and timely maintenance records. Your work will directly support asset reliability, reduce downtime, and improve overall maintenance efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and schedule preventive and corrective maintenance activities for the assigned location.
  • Coordinate and confirm maintenance priorities with operations, maintenance, and other stakeholders.
  • Manage the equipment receiving process, ensuring proper documentation, tagging, and routing into maintenance workflows.
  • Open and track repair work orders in the CMMS, ensuring accurate coding, scope, and timelines.
  • Supervise CMMS clerks, providing direction, workload allocation, and quality oversight of data entry and reporting.
  • Monitor maintenance backlog and work order status, adjusting plans to meet operational requirements and resource availability.
  • Prepare and maintain planning documents, schedules, and reports using Microsoft Office tools.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and technicians to ensure planned work is executable, resourced, and aligned with safety and operational standards.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a production, maintenance, or operations planning role.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and prioritise maintenance activities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Hands-on experience with CMMS systems for creating, managing, and tracking work orders.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks and deadlines.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Effective communication skills to coordinate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and data management.
  • Ability to work independently under minimal supervision and make sound planning decisions.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience in industrial, energy, or manufacturing environments.
  • Familiarity with maintenance planning best practices, including preventive and predictive maintenance.
  • Exposure to inventory control and spare parts coordination.
  • Experience leading or mentoring administrative or planning support staff.
  • Working knowledge of safety and compliance requirements related to maintenance activities.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a technical, engineering, or business-related field preferred.
