Responsibilities
• Develop, maintain, and manage the master production schedule (MPS) to ensure efficient operations and on-time delivery.
• Coordinate with sales, engineering, production, and procurement teams to align demand with capacity and material availability.
• Monitor production plans and adjust schedules as needed to address changes in demand, capacity constraints, or supply issues.
• Use ERP/MRP systems to create, update, and track production orders and scheduling activities.
• Analyze data using advanced Excel and reporting tools to support capacity planning, forecasting, and inventory management decisions.
• Support and improve processes related to production planning, scheduling, and material flow within the manufacturing facility.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements that enhance throughput and reduce delays.
• Apply 6S and process improvement principles to maintain an organized, efficient, and safe production planning environment.
• Communicate production plans, changes, and priorities clearly and promptly to all relevant stakeholders.
• Manage competing priorities and work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines and customer commitments.
• Track key performance indicators related to schedule adherence, on-time delivery, and resource utilization, and recommend corrective actions when needed.
Essential Skills
• Proven experience in production planning, scheduling, or supply chain-related roles in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of supply chain principles, including capacity planning, inventory management, forecasting, and logistics.
• Experience using ERP/MRP systems to support production planning and scheduling activities.
• Advanced Excel skills with the ability to perform complex data analysis to support decision-making.
• Strong organizational skills and familiarity with 6S methodology and process improvement practices.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across sales, engineering, production, and procurement.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a results-driven mindset focused on meeting deadlines and achieving operational goals.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong time management skills and attention to detail.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain a positive attitude and take initiative in a dynamic setting.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
• Experience in a fabrication manufacturing facility or similar production environment.
• Demonstrated success in driving process improvement initiatives within production planning or supply chain functions.
• High level of proficiency in Excel beyond basic functions, including data analysis and reporting.
• Strong initiative and willingness to take ownership of scheduling and planning responsibilities.
• A collaborative mindset and ability to build strong working relationships across departments.
