Position Purpose/Summary: The Production Planner serves as a key liaison between Client Service Coordinators (CSCs) and the plant, ensuring effective communication and execution of orders. Responsibilities include establishing production priorities, tracking progress, resolving scheduling issues, maintaining facility requirements and accurate data in the MRP system.

All duties as assigned and the following specific activities.
- Acts as a liaison between Client Service Coordinators (CSC’s) and the plant to relay key data, execute orders, and meet delivery dates.
- Establish production priorities by evaluating manufacturing capacity and assessing the capabilities of each production line within the facility.
- Tracks production by gathering data and comparing actual progress against the planned schedule.
- Resolves scheduling problems by collecting and analyzing information, coordinating with the scheduler and production team to develop solutions.
- Enter, monitor, and maintain accurate data within the company’s internal MRP system, ensuring the entry and closure of all production orders driven by customer purchase orders.
- Initiates orders for release according to the weekly production schedule.
- Collaborate with the site-specific scheduler to finalize the weekly schedule and review final outputs achieved week-over-week.
- Responsible for generating weekly capacity reports for the site to ensure that production line capacity is evenly distributed.
- Input customer forecasts into Navision as applicable.
- Aligns the schedule for campaign purposes to achieve optimal efficiencies.
- Maintains a matrix of facility requirements, including blend sizes, batch sizes, and minimum/maximum limits, to ensure orders are properly aligned with the production floor.
Provide weekly building schedules to the CSC team.

Qualifications
Knowledge-Skills-Abilities
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management or other relevant field
- APICS certification preferred
Experience:
- 3 years’ professional experience in a contract Manufacturing environment
- Proficient in mining data and assembling useful reports for Management review.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously and accurately
- Positive team player and effective communicator with all levels of management and cross-functional organizations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Able to work well under pressure; able to recognize urgency
- Self-motivated, focused, and results oriented.
- Team-centric with a service attitude
- Confident to present information, offer conclusions, and advocate for proactive problem-solving options.
Physical Capabilities
Strength: Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
Movement: Regularly stands; walks; sits; uses hands to type, grasp/handle, or reach with hands and arms. May need to stoop, kneel or crouch.
Hearing: Must be able to hear and understand work direction in a loud, distracting environment
Vision: Must be able to judge distance, identify details, and view computer screen regularly

Communication:
Communication skills in both English and Spanish (2nd Spanish preferred) Outstanding written, oral, interpersonal, and outward behavior communication ability. Proficiency for listening well. Demonstrated talent for understanding your audience and how to communicate your message effectively to them.
Technology/Software:
Advanced Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Word) skills Proficient, knowledgeable and comfortable working with an MRP system, including item and Bill of material maintenance, forecast maintenance, sales order maintenance and purchase orders
