Reporting to the Production Manager the Production Planner shall work with Production Supervisors, Butcher Master, Supply Chain Manager and Process Specialist to effectively plan all tempering, processing, cooking, and packaging schedules and assist with inventory storage and movement into the facility as well as in third party storage.

Duties: (include but are not limited to)
• Daily review of digital inventory system for orders and work in progress
• Liaise with order desk staff, production, logistics and sales teams to develop inventory targets and production schedule lead times etc.
• Develop attainable production schedules that balance resources and materials and also factor in capacity constraints.
• Make adjustments to schedules that factor in order changes/add-ons, staffing levels, seasonal variations/changes, new customer volume etc.
• Create and distribute planning sheets and job travelers to relevant staff.
• Create and update as needed, a cookhouse, cooler schedule that ensures proper product flow, meets food safety/allergen requirements and makes efficient use of the equipment.
• Utilize a white board to provide full real time visibility of all planned production and cooking activities
• Monitor daily key operational measurements including finish goods inventory and order shorts to make adjustments as needed.
• Monitor daily work in progress for “rollover” and make adjustments to production schedule where required.
• Meet with room supervisors/ production supervisors to discuss next day’s production requirements and issues which may have interrupted the current day’s plan – work on solutions.
• Send end of day e-mail with information as it pertains to the day’s production outcome and upcoming plans.
• Train and act as back up for floor checks to confirm accuracy of WIP and traveler’s.
• Assist with purchasing of meat products including obtaining competing quotes from suppliers and brokers.
• Receive arriving inventory into the company’s inventory management system including printing and assigning labels for automated tracking.
Pay: $21.00-$25.00 per hour
