Its products are used primarily in industrial manufacturing and distribution environments, including aerospace, water treatment, heavy manufacturing, agriculture, mining, automotive, and logistics. Operating from three manufacturing facilities in the US, Acco provides ready-to-ship stock products or fully engineered custom devices. Products are sold through distributors, as well as to large direct customers. Attalla operations specialize in the manufacturing of overhead cranes and patented track along with crane components. Job Summary The Production & Logistics Planner is responsible for ensuring that the shop has all jobs printed that are needed for customer jobs. The Production & Logistics Planner will help ensure On-Time Deliveries are met. The Production & Logistics Planner will work with all Salary and Bargaining Agreement Personnel at the facility. The Production & Logistics Planner will work with internal and external customers to set up shipping. This role will work with limited supervision. Principal Duties and Responsibilities Print and deliver Job Packets with Drawings to the supervisors prior to them needing them for production. Help Maintain inventory accuracy in the warehouse. Ensure all Materials are issued to a job prior to completion. Ensure all jobs have labor charged to them prior to completion. Able to work under pressure, meet deadlines and be able to efficiently multitask. Communicate with all team members effectively and if there is an issue bring it to managements attention. Must be able to be on your feet and walk around the shop, this is not a full-time desk job. This is not a climate-controlled facility. Attention to detail is a MUST. Able to identify parts, locate parts and/or equipment to do other functions of the job. Punctuality and regular attendance are important to maintain manufacturing schedules. Must be able to communicate and set up trucks for customer orders that need to go out. This could be through our 3PL, UPS, FedEx, etc. Will validate items that are being picked for customer orders that are being shipped out. Take pictures of all outgoing shipments for internal documentation. Required Experience Must be able to work with computers. 2+ years’ Material Planning Experience 2+ years’ experience with warehouse management systems. (Oracle, JDE, SAP, InfoFlow, etc) Must have experience with Microsoft Office Suite. Must be able to read and understand a Bill of Materials, Drawings, Packing list and BOL’s. 1+ Years’ Experience with logistics. Education Requirements: College Degree Preferred but not required.
