Adecco Permanent Recruitment is partnering with a growing defense technology and advanced manufacturing organization seeking a hands-on Production Lead to help drive daily manufacturing operations at its Stafford, VA facility. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Production Lead, Manufacturing Lead, Production Supervisor, Manufacturing Supervisor, Assembly Lead or Senior Manufacturing Technician who is ready for greater leadership responsibility and visibility. We're looking for someone who can lead people AND understand the work happening on the production floor. You'll help coordinate production priorities, balance resources, identify bottlenecks, troubleshoot issues and ensure sophisticated products are assembled, tested and delivered safely, correctly and on schedule. 🎯 WHAT WE NEED ✔ 3–5+ years of manufacturing / production experience ✔ Previous Team Lead, Production Lead or manufacturing leadership experience ✔ Hands-on experience within a production, assembly or manufacturing environment ✔ Ability to lead daily production-floor activities and keep teams aligned with production schedules & priorities ✔ Experience coordinating staffing, workload, materials & production resources ✔ Ability to identify bottlenecks, production delays, material shortages & workflow issues — and help drive solutions ✔ Experience reading and following technical documentation, travelers, work instructions, SOPs and manufacturing procedures ✔ Strong commitment to Quality, Safety & workmanship standards ✔ Experience training, mentoring and cross-training production employees ✔ Strong communication, organization, accountability and sense of urgency ⚙️ EXPERIENCE THAT WILL REALLY STAND OUT We're especially interested in manufacturing leaders coming from: Defense Manufacturing | Aerospace | Electronics | Electromechanical Assembly | Precision Manufacturing | Industrial Manufacturing | Military Systems | Engineered Products | High-Reliability Manufacturing Experience with any combination of the following is especially valuable: Mechanical Assembly | Electrical Assembly | Electronics | Integration | Testing | Troubleshooting | Rework | Production Planning | Quality Systems | ERP/MRP | Lean Manufacturing | AS9100 | ISO 9001 🔧 WHAT YOU'LL HELP LEAD • Daily production-floor operations • Production schedules & manufacturing priorities • Staffing, resource planning & workload balancing • Assembly, integration & testing activities • Production status, bottlenecks & recovery plans • Material availability & shortage escalation • Employee training, mentoring & cross-training • New-hire onboarding & qualification • Work instructions & standardized processes • Quality compliance & documentation • Troubleshooting, rework & corrective actions • Safety, PPE & FOD compliance • Lean Manufacturing & Continuous Improvement • Visual management & workplace organization • Cross-functional coordination with Engineering, Quality, Warehouse & Production Management 👷 THIS IS A HANDS-ON LEADERSHIP ROLE We're not looking for someone who wants to manage production from behind a desk. The right person enjoys being on the floor with the team — setting priorities, answering questions, removing roadblocks, coaching employees, monitoring workflow and jumping in to help troubleshoot when production hits an issue.
