Production Operations Associate Focuses on achieving the required level of production on an hour-to-hour, daily, monthly and yearly basis, and oversees the planning, development, implementation and maintenance of manufacturing methods, processes and operations. Works with Operations, Logistics and Distribution managers on implementing logistics initiatives. What you’ll achieve As a Production Operations Associate, you will act as the primary internal logistics contact and steers the daily workflow activities within the factory by managing operations processes to achieve a quality output. You will: Works on assignments that are semi-routine in nature and selects best option from a set of defined procedures/solutions using common sense and experience of similar situations Problems are typically known, defined, and readily apparent, however some issues may occasionally require fact finding to resolve. Impact will be limited, typically to the immediate team Interacts daily with subordinates and/or functional peer groups. Interaction normally involves exchange or presentation of factual information. Conveys straightforward information to audiences. Assigns tasks and monitors work at frequent intervals. Maintains schedules and workflow of the team. A portion of time is normally spent performing individual tasks related to the unit or sub-unit. Generally supervises semi-skilled employees (e.g., assemblers, operators, packagers, material tracking, clerical). Here’s what we are looking for with this role: Essential Requirements Researches and compiles inbound shipment data for the Production Control group. Works with Procurement and the Warehouse to ensure transfers depart timely and coordinates with IT during downtime and factory testing Distributes weekly schedule and daily volume commits to outbound carriers and Supplier Logistics Centers (SLCs) Works with 3PL (Third Party Logistics) Yard Management to ensure timely door swaps for outbound carriers and SLC’s and monitors SLC and 3PL performance to ensure cycle times meet contractual goals Develops, collects, monitors and reports on business related data, metrics and statistics. Establishes programs and solutions for increasing uptime and for equipment problems that affect the manufacturing process Maintains BURN scan accuracy and utilizes Burn Rack Order Management System (BROMS) web applications and knowledge of dependencies and how they affect the application Desirable Requirements Responsible for maintenance and repair services of mechanical and electrical manufacturing systems, as well as the installation, modification, upgrade and maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
