Production Manager(Food Manufacturing) Manufacturing Milling Operations | Food Manufacturing Leadership Seeking an experienced Milling Production Manager to lead plant production operations within a high-volume food manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for overseeing production activities, workforce management, quality, food safety, equipment utilization, continuous improvement initiatives, and overall operational performance. The ideal candidate will drive productivity while ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and customer requirements. Key Responsibilities Lead daily manufacturing and milling production operations across multiple shifts and departments. Manage production schedules, staffing, equipment utilization, and operational priorities to meet customer demand. Ensure compliance with food safety, quality standards, sanitation requirements, and workplace safety regulations. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve operational efficiency. Supervise production, maintenance, and operations personnel while developing employee skills and performance. Coordinate preventive maintenance activities to ensure maximum equipment reliability and uptime. Monitor production metrics, labor efficiency, costs, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to achieve business objectives. Manage production capacity, labor resources, equipment, and materials to optimize profitability and operational performance. Partner with Engineering, Supply Chain, Procurement, Quality, and Maintenance teams to support production goals and process improvements. Lead problem-solving efforts and implement corrective actions to resolve operational issues and improve performance. Manage departmental budgets and maintain cost-effective operating practices. Support innovation, process improvements, and the implementation of new manufacturing technologies. Qualifications Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and manufacturing experience. Three or more years of flour milling, food manufacturing, or related production experience preferred. Previous manufacturing leadership or production management experience required. Strong knowledge of food safety, quality systems, and regulatory compliance. Experience leading production teams in a manufacturing environment. Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies and operational excellence practices. Strong problem-solving, communication, organizational, and leadership skills. Basic mechanical aptitude and understanding of manufacturing equipment. Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and provide support for plant-related issues as needed.
