Production Manager

Overview POSITION SNAPSHOT As a Production Manager at Meta Fab, your primary objective will be to manage the production team, ensuring timely delivery of projects without compromising on quality. You will play a pivotal role in optimizing operational efficiency, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and driving the team towards achieving and exceeding production targets. OBJECTIVES · Ensure jobs ship on-time while delivering quality that meets or exceeds customer’s expectations · Foster a collaborative and high-performance work culture within the production team · Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to cultivate a skilled and motivated workforce · Optimize manufacturing processes to maximize output while minimizing costs · Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to maintain and exceed industry standards JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Managing Production Work Flow · Direct production operations, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and efficiency standards. · Develop production plans to meet customer demands and organizational objectives. · Optimize labor, equipment, and materials to maximize efficiency and minimize waste. · Collaborate with other departments, such as purchasing and shipping, to ensure a seamless production process. · Utilize quality control measures to uphold our commitment to delivering high-quality products. Enhancing Workforce Development · Lead, motivate, and mentor production team members to foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. · Conduct performance reviews and provide constructive feedback for professional development. · Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to address and resolve quality issues promptly. · Develop contingency plans to address unforeseen challenges and maintain business continuity. · Oversee training programs to keep the production team updated on compliance requirements. · Ensures company policies are being adhered to and initiates disciplinary actions when necessary. Operations · Identify opportunities for process improvement; support and implement lean manufacturing principles to enhance operational efficiency. · Introduce innovative technologies or methodologies that contribute to increased productivity. · Lead and participate in continuous improvement projects to enhance production processes. · Utilize data-driven insights and key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive ongoing improvements. · Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, sales, and supply chain, to align production activities with overall business goals. · Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to ensure a clear understanding of production objectives and expectations. RELATED SKILLS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE · BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience · Manufacturing industry experience · 2+ years’ experience in management or supervisory role · Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail · Excels at time management with a proven ability to meet deadlines across multiple projects · Ability to communicate issues, both written and orally, to production staff and leadership team · Strong supervisory and leadership skills – Fosters a culture of growth and development. · Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate when appropriate Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) 3% Match Dental insurance Employee assistance program Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Work Location: In person
