The Production Manager makes an impact by – Manage and establish leadership goals for the Production Supervisors and leads. Manage time and resources to meet annual Operation Plan goals. Work with the Supply Chain Analyst to plan and approve the weekly production schedules. Manage the production budget and make sure the team is within the targeted production goals. Directly or indirectly provide counsel and leadership to all associates within assigned departments with a strong emphasis on effective communication, training, and personal development. Review and approve batch records to ensure product meets or exceeds quality standards and customer expectations. Review daily production OEE and downtime reports assessing and creating a plan to keeps issues with production runs from repeating. Experience with and participation in SQF audits. Experience with managing plant sanitation, COP tank systems, CIP systems, and chemical handling processes. Manage the plant Master Sanitation Schedule. Creation and management of SOPs/SSOPs. Shall participate in the creation, implementation, and observance of safety programs and procedures designed to ensure the personal safety of all associates and the public, and the avoidance of loss due to misuse or physical abuse of facilities, equipment, and tools. Carry out management responsibilities in accordance with Turkey Hill Dairy’s Enduring Principles and Policies as well as all applicable laws and regulations. Supervise and coach direct reports in the performance of their duties and complete performance reviews providing feedback to direct reports. Responsible for hiring, associate training and development, motivation, and discipline. Partner with Senior Management and the Human Resources Department to facilitate personnel administration and to always assure compliance with pertinent legal and policy issues. Exhibit a leadership style that promotes behavior that values respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety of others. Ensure all associates perform job duties in compliance with all corporate and regulatory quality, GMP, fleet and safety regulations. Provide leadership and direct activities to ensure programs, policies and practices are followed to produce safe quality foods that meet regulatory and company requirements. Support the development, implementation, maintenance, and ongoing improvement of the SQF 2000 System. Hold all employees accountable to the Turkey Hill Food Safety and Quality Principles. Support SR Leadership initiatives. Demonstrate knowledge of continuous improvement and lean methodology. Demonstrate the ability to engage and coach Associates to effectively work in department and cross-functional teams to define and implement process improvements that provide value to the customer. Demonstrate the ability to lead or facilitate and engage work in department and cross-functional teams through implementation of continuous improvement projects that provide value to the customer. Follow established programs, policies, and practices to produce safe quality foods that meet regulatory and company requirements. Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.
