Production Manager

Friends Products LLC is a growing food manufacturing and distribution company specializing in Mediterranean food products distributed to farmers markets throughout Florida. We are seeking an experienced and dependable Production Manager to oversee daily food production operations, supervise production employees, manage raw material usage, maintain accurate production records, and ensure consistent product quality. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who can organize production schedules, manage employees efficiently, maintain high food safety standards, and ensure production targets are met accurately and on time. This is an important leadership position requiring strong organizational skills, accountability, and the ability to manage a fast-paced food production environment. Key Responsibilities Production Operations Manage and oversee daily food production activities. Plan and organize production schedules based on company inventory needs and distribution requirements. Ensure production targets are completed accurately and on schedule. Monitor production efficiency and identify opportunities to improve productivity. Ensure products are prepared consistently according to company recipes, specifications, and quality standards. Coordinate with warehouse management to ensure finished products are transferred promptly. Employee Supervision Supervise, train, and coordinate production employees. Ensure production employees follow established procedures and safety requirements. Maintain an organized, clean, and productive work environment. Raw Materials & Production Control Monitor and document raw materials used during production. Ensure ingredients are used efficiently and minimize unnecessary waste. Track raw material consumption and report shortages or discrepancies. Coordinate ingredient availability with management to avoid production delays. Maintain accurate production records for each product manufactured. Production Reporting & Inventory Transfers Prepare daily production reports detailing quantities produced for each product. Maintain accurate records of raw materials used and finished goods produced. Count and verify completed products before transferring them to the Warehouse Manager. Coordinate directly with the Warehouse Manager to ensure all completed production is accurately received and documented. Investigate and report production discrepancies or unexpected losses. Quality Control & Food Safety Ensure all products meet company quality and consistency standards. Enforce food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures. Monitor proper storage and handling of raw materials and finished products. Ensure production equipment and work areas are maintained in clean and safe condition. Identify and address production or quality issues promptly. Qualifications Previous experience in food production, food manufacturing, or commercial kitchen operations required. Previous supervisory or management experience strongly preferred. Strong leadership and employee management skills. Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures a plus. Experience managing production schedules and tracking raw materials. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to prepare accurate production reports and maintain records. Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet production deadlines.
