Production Coordinator/Transportation Manager

Job Overview Highland Tank is seeking a Production Coordinator/Transportation Manager at our Liberal, KS location. The position is responsible for the entire order process from drawing approval/release through fabrication and delivery. The postion requires skills in Customer relations, organization, logistical planning and schedule coordination for Highland Tank product lines. Duties and Responsibilities · Engage with customers to ensure an open line of communication · Work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing and General Manager · Manage orders from drawing approval/release through fabrication and delivery · Coordinate scheduling of order production with plant manager and foremen · Offer support to Inside Sales via freight quotations, lead time quotations and fabrication questions · Coordinate shipment scheduling while taking availability of completed orders and delivery specifics into consideration · Oversee purchasing of accessory materials (concrete deadmen, galvanized items, etc.) · Review orders prior to shipment to ensure all items are on hand · Maintain customer contact after delivery if needed · Oversee daily driver paperwork, invoicing and loading paperwork in conjunction with Transportation Assistant · Maintain UL/STI/API/ASME labeling records and auditing · Preparation of oversized travel permits, arranging travel escorts and other oversized travel requirements · Maintain current driver and equipment files Qualifications · Excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills · Project management skills · Strong Organizational and time management skills · Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Work and Excel · Ability to read blueprints · Experience with manufacturing Benefits Company paid low deductible health insurance plan Affordable family health insurance Dental insurance 401k with matching contribution Company paid life insurance Paid vacation and holidays Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Health insurance Work Location: In person
