The Production Coordinator helps ensure manufacturing activity is accurately reflected in the company’s ERP and shop-floor data collection systems. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Review daily shop-floor scanning activity against open work tickets and identify missed, duplicate, out-of-sequence, or misapplied scans. Correct or escalate scan exceptions promptly and verify reported labor and production quantities reconcile to actual output before work tickets are closed. Print and deliver work tickets with applicable drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), routings, and quality requirements ahead of scheduled production start. Verify quantities, units of measure, item codes, and lot or heat identification at the point of material issue. Process material returns, scrap, and reissues accurately; identify and report shortages, BOM discrepancies, and transaction issues in a timely manner. Support cycle counting and inventory accuracy within department staging and point-of-use locations. Serve as the daily link between the assigned production department and Production Planning by communicating work status, blocked versus ready work, material concerns, and other exceptions. Follow and help maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs); document ERP configuration and process gaps that surface on the floor; support Sage 100 testing, data validation, and training.
