Production Coordinator Scenic Vans — Rancho Cordova, CA Full-time | On-site Pay: $26–$32 per hour, depending on relevant skills and experience Schedule: M-F, 7:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m., with occasional overtime Reports to: COO About Scenic Vans Scenic Vans designs and builds custom campervans in Rancho Cordova, California. We’re looking for an organized, dependable Production Coordinator to help keep our builds moving, our information accurate, and our shop prepared for upcoming work. About the Position You’ll work closely with management and our production team to track progress, follow up on assigned tasks, document builds, and identify material needs before they cause delays. You’ll use SVOS, our internal operations app, to keep information organized and help the team consistently follow our processes. This position combines computer work with regular activity on the shop floor, including taking photos, receiving deliveries, checking inventory, shelving parts, and helping organize supplies and furniture. Recent graduates are welcome. Prior experience with campervans, mechanical work, or installation is not required. Responsibilities Coordinate daily production Follow up with team members on assigned tasks, deadlines, and progress against management’s priorities. Identify blockers, missing information, and potential delays, and bring them to management promptly. Track outstanding items and follow through on needed updates and next steps. Communicate management-approved changes to priorities or schedules. Support consistent SVOS use Help ensure team members keep task statuses, progress updates, photos, and required information current. Check records for missing or outdated information and follow up on needed updates. Help employees follow established app workflows and report recurring process or software issues. Document progress and keep management informed Take clear progress photos at designated build stages and attach them to the appropriate records in SVOS. Prepare end-of-day reports summarizing completed work, unfinished tasks, blockers, material needs, and decisions needed from management. Communicate urgent issues when they arise. Prepare for upcoming installations Review upcoming work with management and installers to identify required furniture, parts, and other products. Check what is available, what has been requested or ordered, and what is still outstanding. Submit material requests early, follow up on order status and expected delivery dates, and flag shortages or delays that could affect the schedule. Track inventory and organize the shop Regularly check stock levels of commonly used parts, supplies, and consumables. Request replenishment and track outstanding requests. Receive deliveries, check item quantities against delivery records, and report missing, incorrect, or visibly damaged items. Label and shelve parts, maintain organized storage areas, and help move furniture and materials into designated locations. Keep inventory information current and follow established shop safety and material-handling procedures. Identify recurring problems and suggest improvements Notice patterns such as repeated material shortages, delayed task updates, misplaced supplies, or communication gaps. Document recurring problems and suggest practical improvements to management. Help implement and follow up on approved improvements to tracking, communication, and shop organization. Role Scope This position has no direct reports. The Production Coordinator follows up on work and communicates concerns; management handles employee performance, purchasing approvals, changes to priorities, and technical decisions. Quality assurance inspections, technical troubleshooting, and final quality approval are outside the initial scope of this position, but may be added as position matures.
