Production Coordinator

T&T Power Group is a power generation, distribution, and automation sales and service company. We are seeking a highly organized Production Coordinator to support our production operations in Port Coquitlam, British Columbia . Working closely with the Production Manager, shop technicians, Engineering, and Shipping and Receiving, you will coordinate production schedules, materials, documentation, and workflow to help ensure projects are completed accurately and on time. Your key responsibilities will be: Maintain accurate and up-to-date production schedules in Odoo and Pit Stop, along with the Shop Layout Planner. Ensure production time estimates are realistic and support efficient, timely project completion. Stage Manufacturing Orders (MOs) at least two weeks before the scheduled production start date. Review daily production progress with the Shop Lead and confirm the following day’s production plan. Ensure technicians have continuous work available and prepare production workflow for the following week. Verify that upcoming projects have approved Bills of Materials (BOMs) and fully reserved and picked MO components. Coordinate with Engineering on build instructions, drawing approvals, and project revisions. Track shop drawing approvals and follow up to support timely completion. Coordinate with Shipping and Receiving to move completed builds, prepare workstations for upcoming projects, and prepare tested units for shipment. Coordinate product delivery requirements with Shipping and Receiving. Track and schedule tool certifications and calibrations and maintain the required documentation. Record relevant project communications and notes in Odoo Chatter, SharePoint, and managed document systems. Direct customer inquiries to the appropriate department, including Engineering, Estimating, and Shipping and Receiving. Support the Production Manager with departmental priorities, coordination, and administrative requirements. Assist with inventory management, including twice-yearly stock counts, floor stock accuracy, and replenishment of commonly used parts. Coordinate the 5 Whys root cause problem-solving program, including investigations, corrective actions, follow-up, and documentation. Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve production workflow, processes, quality, efficiency, and operational effectiveness. Provide production coordination and operational support to other locations as required. Perform other duties as assigned to support Production and broader operational requirements. Requirements: We cannot stress enough that strong computer aptitude, with the ability to quickly learn new software programs and procedures, is a critical and non-negotiable skill required for this job! Comfort working in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment. Ability to produce consistent, quality work under pressure. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities. Exceptional time management skills and the ability to manage competing priorities. Ability to identify and solve problems through meticulous planning and careful execution with little oversight or direction. Great attention to detail when maintaining schedules, project documentation, and inventory records. A team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
