Production Coordinator

Job Overview The Production Coordinator oversees all production and shipping operations, ensuring safe, efficient and timely manufacturing and delivery while supporting continuous improvement. Essential Functions Oversee production and shipping employees, including foremen Schedule production for all machines on both shifts Coordinate daily shipments with Shipping Supervisors Enforce company safety protocols and implement safety programs Implement preventative maintenance schedules for equipment Train and develop employees Communicate daily with the VP of Operations regarding operational performance Oversee waste and inventory management Ensure compliance with company policies Maintain housekeeping issues and implement corrective actions Perform other duties as needed Qualifications & Core Competencies Minimum 5 years experience in a Leadership role, Production Planning and Inventory Management. Strong ability to clearly communicate and properly articulate instructions and guidance to others Highly organized in a fast paced manufacturing environment Deadline driven, detail oriented, dependable, proactive and committed to operational excellence Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regulary required to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time, some walking. Employees are regularly required to talk and/or hear. Employees will be expected to repeat much of the physical motions throughout the shift that may include use of their feet, legs, arms, wrists, hands and / or fingers. This work will involve a variety of hand operations requiring a high degree of manual dexterity and close visual attention. This employee must be able to carry and/or lift up to 40lbs.
