Production Control Supervisor and Product Owner
Design ImagingPosition Summary Design Imaging is seeking a Production Control Supervisor / ERP Product Owner to lead production scheduling while owning the effective use and continued development of our Epicor ERP system within Operations. This position will manage the Scheduling team, coordinate production across multiple manufacturing cells, and ensure Epicor supports the needs and priorities of the business. The role will work closely with Production, Purchasing, Engineering, IT, and leadership to solve problems, improve processes, and ensure changes to the ERP and operating processes work effectively across the organization. The ideal candidate is a strong problem solver who can understand complex processes and systems, identify root causes, analyze data, and build consensus across departments. They should be equally comfortable working with people, production processes, data, and digital systems. Key Responsibilities Production Control & Scheduling Lead and develop the Scheduling team and manage scheduling resources. Coordinate production schedules across all manufacturing cells. Monitor capacity, constraints, bottlenecks, and schedule risks. Partner with Production, Purchasing, Engineering, and other departments to resolve issues. Provide leadership with visibility into capacity, constraints, and production risks. Develop and monitor scheduling and production control metrics. Continuously improve scheduling processes to improve flow, lead time, and schedule adherence. ERP Product Ownership Own the effective use and continued development of Epicor within Operations. Translate business needs and leadership priorities into ERP requirements and improvement priorities. Identify gaps between how the business needs to operate and how Epicor is currently being used. Drive adoption and effective utilization of Epicor throughout Production. Identify opportunities to eliminate manual processes, workarounds, and duplicate data entry through better system utilization. Train, coach, and support employees and leaders in effective ERP use. Develop and maintain standard work and documentation for critical ERP processes. Monitor ERP usage, data quality, and system effectiveness. Cross-Functional Process & System Improvement Evaluate the downstream and cross-functional impact of process and ERP changes before implementation. Work across departments to balance competing needs and build consensus. Maintain consistency in how common processes, data, and functionality are structured and used. Partner with IT and other system stakeholders to evaluate, test, and implement system changes. Use data, root cause analysis, and process knowledge to identify and solve operational problems. Lead continuous improvement of production control processes, ERP utilization, and supporting systems. Required Qualifications Prior experience in manufacturing, production control, scheduling, operations, ERP, or related field. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and production workflows. Demonstrated mastery of complex problem solving and root cause identification. Strong analytical, logical, and data-driven decision-making skills. Ability to understand complex systems, processes, and data structures. Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills. Ability to work effectively with both production employees and leadership. Demonstrated ability to improve processes, systems, and standard work. Strong digital literacy and ability to learn complex software systems. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Epicor ERP. Experience as an ERP Product Owner, Business Process Owner, ERP Administrator, or similar role. Experience with production scheduling across multiple manufacturing cells. Experience with ERP reporting, data structures, or business intelligence. Experience with Lean, Continuous Improvement, or Operational Excellence. Experience leading cross-functional process or system improvements. Experience training and supporting users of digital systems. …
