Production Control Specialist

55 Maryland Avenue Pawtucket, RI 02860 United States Technic - Equipment Division Full-time Job Summary: Technic is seeking a Production Control Specialist to schedule and track the build of our custom plating and surface finishing equipment. This role keeps materials, labor, and shop priorities aligned so each machine ships on time. Responsibilities: Build and maintain production schedules for fabrication, assembly, and testing across multiple concurrent projects Release jobs to the shop and maintain job, bill of material, and routing data in the ERP system Plan material needs and coordinate with purchasing to expedite critical parts Track job status, labor hours, and shortages, and report progress to project managers and leadership Identify schedule conflicts early and work with supervisors to rebalance resources Coordinate shipping, freight, and rigging logistics for completed equipment Maintain shop travelers, drawing packages, and inventory records Support month-end reporting and continuous improvement of planning processes Qualifications: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Operations, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience 2+ years in production planning, scheduling, or materials management, ideally in an engineered-to-order or job shop environment ERP/MRP experience; Microsoft Dynamics a plus Strong Excel skills Ability to read engineering drawings and bills of material Highly organized with strong communication skills Comfortable working with engineering, purchasing, and shop teams in a fast-paced environment Benefits: Competitive base salary Health, dental, vision insurance 401(k) with company match Paid time off
