Production Control Planner – Morgan Hill RF Business Located in Morgan Hill, CA, this Production Control Planner shall be part of the Operations Business team reporting to Operations leadership. The Production Control Planner shall utilize MACOM’s ERP (SAP), shop floor control system (Vlite/Visual Enterprise) and configuration management system (Agile) to help track and move products through the Morgan Hill production process from supply planning to shipment. As part of the Ops Team, the planner will interface with material planning, stockroom, engineering, SIOP demand planners and production management. Responsibilities: Key Responsibilities of Production Control Key Goals: QCD: quality, cost, delivery Order Release and Scheduling: Turning broad production plans into detailed schedules, assigning specific tasks to machines and workers, and releasing work orders to the shop floor and in MES system. Plan and issue production order releases based on demand, capacity, space, and manpower. Using the ERP, the shop floor control system and the automated tracking tools to provide daily production status. Maximizing production throughput while maintaining product integrity. Minimize product queue times. Help maintain hardware flow to correct priorities. Works with Production Management and Materials Management/Planning to facilitate products availability and production readiness. Progress Monitoring: Tracking work-in-progress and comparing real-time output against targets to spot bottlenecks or delays early. Track daily production metrics/Aging to ensure orders finish on time. Maintaining WIP status (Work Orders) report with counts that align with Production Tracker. Identify discrepancies and work to resolve differences (scrap, rework, split lots…). Facilitate slow/no moving WIP (aging). Participating in daily production meetings to be aware of schedules and any hot priority products. MES management: Maintain, update and release new parts numbers and workflows in MES system. Support Engineering Builds. Assisting in movement on the shop floor from operation to operation to maintain hardware flow and production schedule. Ensure personnel are transacting their operations within the enterprise systems. Corrective Action: Adjusting schedules or changing machine assignments when disruptions like machine breakdowns or material shortages happen for minimal downtime. Inventory Regulation: Coordinating with procurement and inventory teams to keep raw materials available without tying up excess capital in unused stock. Monitor raw materials and finished goods using MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems. Proactive planning of material requirement for engineering builds…
