Production Clerk
Food Source InternationalSummary/Objective The Production Clerk is responsible for providing administrative and clerical support to the BSI Production Supervisor team by maintaining production documentation, generating batch tickets, updating production schedules, preparing production paperwork, and ensuring accurate recordkeeping. This role serves as the administrative backbone of the production operation, helping ensure production activities are organized, documented, and compliant with food safety and regulatory requirements. The Production Clerk works closely with Production, Warehouse, Inventory Control, and Quality to maintain accurate documentation and support efficient daily operations. Essential Functions: Generate batch tickets for daily production in accordance with the production schedule. Maintain and update the daily and weekly production scheduling worksheets. Create batch placards, product labels, and QR codes for production batches. Organize, scan, file, and maintain completed batch tickets and production records. Initiate product transfers and complete required production documentation. Verify Bills of Materials (BOMs), production paperwork, and inventory documentation for accuracy. Maintain production logs and ERP system transactions related to production activities. Assist supervisors with administrative tasks, reports, spreadsheets, and production documentation. Coordinate paperwork between Production, Warehouse, Inventory Control, and Quality departments. Maintain organized electronic and paper filing systems. Support inventory counts and reconciliation activities as needed. Maintain a clean and organized workstation. Follow all company food safety, quality, and safety programs, including HACCP, GMP, Allergen Control, SSOP, Food Defense, Kosher, Organic, and OSHA requirements. Perform other administrative and production support duties as assigned. Denotes food safety responsibilities. Responsibilities/Skills/Abilities: Strong organizational and administrative skills. Excellent attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate production documentation. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Experience with ERP or manufacturing software preferred. Ability to prioritize multiple assignments in a fastpaced manufacturing environment. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively with Production, Warehouse, Quality, and Inventory Control teams. Ability to maintain confidential business information. Work Experience Requirements: 2+ years of administrative, production support, manufacturing, or warehouse office experience preferred. Food manufacturing experience strongly preferred. Experience with production scheduling, inventory systems, or ERP software preferred. Education/Knowledge Requirements: High School Diploma or GED required. Associate degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, or related field preferred. Intermediate Microsoft Office skills required. Familiarity with GMPs, HACCP, Allergen Control, and food manufacturing documentation preferred. Reports To: Production Supervisor Supervisory responsibilities: None Backup: TBD Physical Requirements: Ability to regularly lift and move boxes or materials weighing up to 55 lbs., with or without assistance. Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods. Frequent walking between office, warehouse, and production areas. Ability to work in a food manufacturing environment while wearing required PPE. Work environment/Hours: Fulltime, Office hours are typically 7:30am4:00pm, MondayFriday with occasional overtime.
