Production Associate (Filling, Blending & Receiving)

We are hiring two Production Associates to join our production floor team in Northumberland. You will start in our filling area, where you will weigh, fill, and label spice and seasoning orders. Once you are proficient there, you will be cross-trained in other areas so you can work wherever the team needs you. Everyone in the company is cross-trained, and we promote from within whenever we can. We are a certified food production facility, so cleaning is a real and regular part of this job, not an afterthought. Every member of our team takes part in daily cleaning and scheduled deep cleaning of equipment and work areas. If you take pride in a clean workspace and in getting the details right, you will fit in well. Key Responsibilities Product Filling (where you will start) Accurately weigh and fill the correct amount of product into jars, bags, or boxes as determined by pick lots and printed labels. Bag and label batches of stock spice blends for wholesale and bulk distribution. Operate sealing equipment safely and inspect seals and closures before product moves to the next stage. Backfill spice and seasonings inventory to keep the production floor stocked. Verify each product is the right item, correct weight, properly labeled, and packed to our standard. Keep your work area clean, organized, and fully stocked throughout the shift. Cleaning & Sanitation Clean and sanitize equipment, tools, and work surfaces between product runs, with extra care during allergen changeovers. Take part in scheduled deep cleaning of production equipment and production areas. Wash production dishes and equipment as required. Sweep, mop, and empty trash in assigned work areas, and share in keeping the bathrooms and break room clean. Follow written sanitation procedures and complete cleaning records accurately. Blending (cross-training) Follow blend recipes accurately to create seasoning and spice mixes that meet customer requirements. Weigh and measure ingredients precisely to ensure batch consistency. Operate blending equipment safely, following all standard operating procedures. Document blend activity, lot numbers, and any batch deviations using a computer or tablet. Report ingredient quality concerns or equipment issues to the supervisor right away. Receiving (cross-training) Receive and inspect incoming shipments of raw materials and packaging supplies; confirm quantities and check for damage. Learn to operate the walkie stacker and pallet jack to move and store incoming product safely (training provided). Label and organize received inventory accurately and log incoming lot numbers. Stage materials in designated storage areas and keep the receiving area clean and organized. Food Safety & Traceability Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), hygiene, and allergen control procedures. Record boxes opened and track raw and finished product lot numbers so every product can be traced. Report anything that could affect food safety or product quality immediately.
