Production Assistant

Join the Viking Tool & Gage Team! Are you organized, detail-oriented, and experienced in a production office? Viking Tool & Gage is looking for a motivated individual to join our team! Position Summary The Production Assistant supports daily production operations, including order processing, inventory management, work orders, and shipping coordination. This position works closely with the Production Manager and other departments to ensure customer requirements are met efficiently and accurately. Key Responsibilities Receive and process sales orders. Send sales order acknowledgements and updates according to customer requirements. Monitor customer order status and requirements. Process and monitor EDI transactions. Update and monitor inventory requirements. Create and manage work orders. Print product labels as needed. Coordinate the movement of work-in-process (WIP) to finished goods. Obtain freight quotes for shipments and expedited orders. Prepare shipping paperwork according to customer requirements. Schedule freight pickups. Provide shipping paperwork and corresponding labels to the shipping department. Update shipment status as required. Perform additional duties as assigned. What We're Looking For Minimum of 3 years of production experience. Strong organizational and communication skills. Excellent attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple priorities. Ability to work effectively with various departments. COMPENSATION $19.00 – $21.00 per hour, based on experience!
